Last Friday night we did a Super Sweet 16 Party. It was the first time we used video projection and uplighting. The party was fantastic and everything went as planned. We received many compliments from the vendors that worked this party.

Last night I had the pleasure of working with some terrific vendors at my Daughter’s Super Sweet 16 party. One vendor that stood out was CMI Limousine. Their service was top-notch.
They have a nice fleet to choose from but we opted for the Hummer H2.

I had never personally had to hire a limo until now so I didn’t really know what to expect. I had read some limo horror stories in the past so I will have to admit I was a little concerned. I found CMI Limousine through a web search. I ended up calling them mainly because of their professional website. After a brief telephone call I knew they were the right choice for me. I contracted CMI Limousine several months in advance and found the reservation process to be extremely simple. A representative called me a few days prior to confirm our event details. On the morning of the party our driver, Ricky, called and confirmed the pickup time and location. He also left me his cell phone number in case we needed to contact him. Ricky arrived 15 minutes before the pickup time just as he said he would. The limo was clean and Ricky was courteous. The entire 3-hours we had the Limo for was uneventful. It went exactly as planned.

Over the past couple of months I have been purchasing equipment for our Video Dance Parties. This new equipment will mainly be used for HS Proms and Super Sweet 16 Parties. The show consists of (2) giant 10′ rear projection video screens, (2) BenQ 3000 lumin projectors, Videonics MXPro video mixer, Numark NuVJ software and midi controller, Dell XPS Laptop, 20″ flat panel monitor, and numerous video clips, special effects, and music videos. During the course of the show we will be projecting music videos, video special effects, and live camera feed. Last fall we pitched this idea to several of our prom sponsors and they were all for it. We wanted to set ourself apart from other entertainment companies and hopefully get more prom business in the future. Sure there are other companies out there that offer video dance parties in our market but not to this scale. We will be using this new equipment for the first time next Friday, March 6th, at a Super Sweet 16 Party. Check back for pictures!
